How do I know if I’m a candidate for surgery in Mexico? +

Candidacy is determined exclusively by Dr. Délano Alonso during your medical consultation — not before. The process begins with a Zoom call where you share your history, symptoms, and any existing imaging or labs. From there, Dr. Délano Alonso will assess whether you’re a suitable candidate, and what the appropriate procedure would be.

What does the inquiry process look like? +

You submit an inquiry via this form or WhatsApp. Our Concierge responds within 24 hours to introduce themselves and gather some background. From there, a Zoom consultation with Dr. Délano Alonso is scheduled. A small consultation fee is charged at that stage, which is credited toward your procedure cost if you move forward.

Is it safe to have surgery in Mexico City? +

Care is delivered at ABC Medical Center and Santé Sur — two of Mexico City’s most respected, fully accredited hospitals. ABC Medical Center consistently ranks among the top hospitals in Latin America. Both facilities maintain international standards for sterility, anesthesia, and post-operative monitoring. Dr. Délano Alonso operates exclusively at these institutions.

Can I use my HSA or FSA for surgery abroad? +

Many patients have successfully used HSA and FSA funds for procedures with us. We provide detailed itemized receipts and documentation that meet the requirements of most US HSA/FSA administrators. We recommend confirming with your plan provider before your consultation, as policies vary. Canadian patients should consult their CRA guidelines for medical expense claims.

What is included in the procedure price? +

Our pricing is transparent and bundled. Typically included: surgeon and anesthesiologist fees, hospital facility costs, standard recovery stay, and 12 months of structured post-operative follow-up. Optional concierge services (accommodation, transport, companion coordination) are available at additional cost. Exact pricing is discussed privately during your consultation call.

What does follow-up care look like after I return home? +

Follow-up is one of our core differentiators. After surgery, you’ll receive daily check-ins during early recovery before your pre-flight clearance. Once home, a structured schedule of video consultations with Dr. Délano Alonso continues for up to 12 months. You’ll always have direct access to your physician — not a third party or call center.
